So much beauty in one county: Torre de Moncorvo

So much beauty in one county! The beautiful village of Torre de Moncorvo is located in the district of Bragança and has several attractions that are well worth visiting.

Historic center

Ecotrail of Sabor River

This 34km route connects Pocinho (in Vila Nova de Foz Côa) to Carviçais, in the municipality of Torre de Moncorvo. Thus, you can travel it by bicycle or in short sections on foot, having the opportunity to pass through the magnificent landscapes of the Alto Douro Vinhateiro, and along the banks of the Douro and Sabor Rivers.

Beforehand, the best thing you can do is go and enjoy the corresponding river beach at the mouth of the Sabor River.

Effectively, it is an area that has the necessary infrastructure to receive visitors, such as areas with grass to extend the towel, bar, bathrooms, and parking.

International Douro Natural Park 

Firstly, this famous and stunning protected area has an area of approximately 37,000 hectares and is located in the Douro Valley. It is known for its phenomenal landscapes, rich biodiversity, and cultural heritage

As such, it is a great choice for outdoor activities, such as hiking and picnics, in addition to being excellent for observing the huge variety of plant and animal species there, including rare and endangered species. 

Finally, it should be noted that access to the park from Torre de Moncorvo is quite easy.
